The land surveyor will be in charge of all land survey works around ELGC and our construction sites,
they will carryout preliminary surveys, topography survey, plot mapping and beacon installation, utility
survey. The surveyor will also carryout GPS location for building construction and all other
construction works. The land surveyor will handle building precision survey works from inception to
completion.
A. Pre-Construction Phase
- Attended all the project kick-off meetings to understand the project scope, timelines, and
expectations. - Review the project documents, including the design plans, specifications, and contract
documents. - Conduct reconnaissance survey to identify potential survey challenges and opportunities.
- Establish survey control network to provide a framework for all survey work.
B. Data Collection Phase
- Topographic survey: we conducted topographic survey to collect data on the existing terrain,
including spot elevations, break lines, and contours.
C. Data Processing and Analysis Phase
- Process the collected data, including topographic, utility, pavement condition, and drainage
data. - Analyze the processed data to identify potential design and construction challenges.
- Create survey drawings, including topographic maps, utility plans, and pavement condition
maps, update survey drawings where necessary.
D. Design and Construction Phase
- Provide survey support to the design team, including providing survey data and answering
design-related questions. - Conduct construction surveys, including stakeout surveys, grade checking, and as-built
surveys. - Monitor construction progress, including tracking the installation of utilities, pavement layers,
and other construction elements. - Engage in level generation for each construction phase from foundation excavation to building
finishes - Ensure the 1m mark is implemented for all structural elements from inception to completion
- Give feedback weekly to project manager
E. Project Completion Phase
- Finalize as-built surveys, including updating survey drawings and submitting final survey
reports. - Submit the final survey report, including a summary of all survey work performed during the
project. - Participate in the project close-out, including attending the final project meeting and providing input on the project successes and challenges.
- Ensure ELGC Clients carryout their works in line with builder’s code
